Sophia is going to be 8 months old this week! I can't believe that in 4 months, she will be a year old already! Wow, we cannot believe how fast the time has gone.
Sophia is a pretty active little girl and as I have stated before, loves to be in her walker. This weekend she has been exploring the main floor of our house and we constantly have to go after her and turn her back in the right direction. She likes to follow us around and gets into EVERYTHING!
She talks quite a bit and mainly says "mama." We're still working on "dada." :o)
Here are some pictures of her that we took today and there is also a little video I'll post from last night of Sophia and her friend, Kady.

What a week......
Tonight Sophia did a few new things that I thought were notable....First of all, I let her put her hand into the "puffs" container and she came out with a handful. She then took her other hand and picked one out of the bunch and put it into her mouth. Such a small thing, but big for her!
She also was playing with me in the living room and Kady went to the back door barking....Sophia walked into the kitchen doorway in her walker and I kept saying her name to get her to come back. She turned around and looked at me every time, but kept on walking. I then called her name and held out my arms, and she came walking quickly back to me with a big smile on her face. It was too cute!
Sophia had quite a strange tooth problem on Monday night. She had a huge bubble type blister protruding out of her top gum and teeth could be seen under it. We took her to the doctor because we had no idea what was going on and she seemed to be in pain. Anyways, the doctor said that it was a tooth eruption/hematoma and that we should ice it. Yah, that's easy :) The next morning it was much smaller and must have burst the night before. Today, I still can't see any teeth in the top front (like on Monday), but noticed that one of her incisor/canine teeth has popped through on the top (Not sure which one it is, but it is off to the side). The daycare lady thought that she could feel 3-4 teeth on top coming through on Monday. Poor baby- all at once!!! Guess they got shy and don't want to show themselves again for a while :o)

7.5 months
Little Sophie is almost 8 months old.....wow! She is such a fun little person! She had a pretty rough day today (either she is sick or teething), but had a pretty good weekend overall. We took her to Sioux Falls with us on Friday with Grandpa Darrel and she was so talkative and smiley- she was pretty good all day long with all of the strangers she encountered.
Sophie has been saying "hi" and "mom" pretty clearly now. We're still working diligently on "dada." :)
Lucas and I are still waiting for her to learn how to crawl and have a feeling that it won't be long. She can maneuver herself around pretty good and is starting to use her legs, but hasn't quite figured it out yet. She gets pretty frustrated when she's on her tummy, so she spends a lot of time in her walker. Sophie loves to move around and can't sit still for too long:)
Sophie also loves to eat "puffs" and has almost mastered picking them up and putting them into her mouth. She usually gets about 1 out of 3 in there ;)
